3D printing at Te Hapua Week 1

In term one I volunteered to take a group of year 5/6 student to Te Hapua for 3d printing for a six week course for fostering strengths.

This week the students learnt how a 3D printer works and the many uses for them in society. They also learnt how to use the software 123D.

It was good to talk with the educators about the possibility of 3D printing within Aidanfield, costings of printing and ongoing costs and the ability to hire the libraries 7 3D printers.

It was great new learning/PD for myself as this is an interest area but something I know little about. It was great getting the opportunity to learn how to use the 123D software as well.
