3D printing week 3

This week students were able to print their key rings and see how their 3D art works were then taken from the computer and turned into 3D objects with the 3D printer. The students got a real kick out of this.

It was great for me to have the opportunity to learn how this process takes place. Talking with Danny the instructor it was really good to brainstorm about how we csn teach this to more students and continue the learning after the course is finished.

Further reflection:
I think that if we download 123D onto the laptops back at school we could run it as a lunch time club. The students could design at school and then we can bring them to the library to print. The cost involved would be to cover the plastic involved in printing.

The students on the course could also help as the experts and the teachers to other students.

I am excited about discussing the possibilities with Danny next session. Due to swimming we will take a 2 week break.
